Fields of Nozzles - Part 10

days past nothing else happened with the spacecraft. in the house, on a quiet evening, everyone was gathered in the living room,
"well everyone i'm sad to say but i don't think we will be seeing luke again, i fear whatever happened to luke he is gone forever" said joe sadly,
"yes i think tho it is very sad, we have to continue with our work" added robyn, "yes as for the spacecraft, that field is out of bounds for the timebeing" said joe, "lets have some wine" suggested ellie, "its ready at last"
"yes lets" said louise, so everyone drank wine and played strip monopoly, "this is nice isn't it" said viki,
"yes lets forget our wohs and have fun" said james,

the next day it was the day of the big horse race, louise was very excited, "i do hope they win" she said,
"well we have entered two so the chances are good" replied viki, also rather excited, "you have trained them well" she said,
just then jeni came running in to the stable, "joe wants us all in the living room" she said, "oh what now" said louise,
"hes always calling these sudden meetings" "well come on then" said jeni,
in the living room everyone else was waiting, "ar there you are" said alion, "thats everyone joe" she said,
"right as you know it is now winter, but in the new year, we will be planting our new harvest, and for that we will need some more help, so i need a rider to go back to hopmoe, and get the rest of our friends who couldn't make it this year"
"i will go" said emma, "it may take several days as the roads are bad at this time of year" replied joe, "and then there are the wolves" "yes i think someone should go with you" said debbie wisely, "i will go with her" said suz, "good it is settled then"
said joe, "you leave tomorrow" "but our horse's will still be at the races" added viki, "ar well carlos has kindly allowed us to borrow his horse's" replied joe,

so while suz and emma prepared for their journey, viki and louise were off to the races, "well we will see you all tomorrw"
said louise looking hopefull, "yes later everyone" said viki, so off they went cheerfully with their horsebox and wagon,
meanwhile ellie was trying out her other ales and wines, "these are quite good" she said quite pleased with herself,
"i will try them out on everybody tonight, just then rii came in, "guess what i got a job in the local tavern" she said excitedly,
"oh cool good for you" replied ellie, so that evening while emily and carlos were talking on the veranda,
everyone else was trying out ellies wine and fine ales, "these are jolly good" said tom, "yes very good" added joe,
"where is wendy?" asked emma walking in, "i don't know, i thaught she was with you", answered jeni,
just then there was a loud scream and a flash of light coming from the 3rd field!!,

"what the hell was that" said jess, "i don't know but we better have a look, it didn't sound too good" said joe in an important voice, "right lets be off" said james, throwing on his coat and running outside, followed by the others,
outside it was bitterly cold, but everyone rushed over to the strange object, "where the hell is it?" asked anna,
"its just gone" all there was, was a large hole in the ground, "hey look what i found" shouted tom,
in his hand was a small shoe, "thats wendys" said emma looking very worried, "i wonder what happened to her" added julia,
"this is way too weird" added arthur, "my beards beginning to hurt", "come on lets go inside" said joe looking bleak,

back inside jo got the kettle on, while julia got out the monopoly set, and ellie poured some wine,
"well from now on" said joe, "we will take turns to stay up on look out each night," "yes a very good idea" replied anna,
"right who will stay up with me tonight? i need two people", "i will said ellie" me too i guess" added debbie,
"good now for some tea and games" joe said, so after many hours of monopoly and thousand of cups of tea and flagons of wine, it was time for bed, for those who weren't staying up, "right i'm off said jo yawning again, "yeah me too" added jeni,
just then rii came in from work, "hey everyone" she said, "whats up?" she asked, "wendy has disapeared, and so has the spacecraft" replied reena, "oh no not another" she sighed, "yes i'm afraid so, me, ellie and debz are staying up tonight,
and we will take turns throu the week" said joe, "ok then, sounds a good idea" she replied.
so everyone went to bed, "i don't like this atall" said debbie, "no neither do i" answered ellie, "still all we can do is stick it out
"but i wonder where it went" said joe looking bemused,

the clock struck 5am, "all was deadly quite except he whistle of the teapot, "what are you doing up?" asked joe looking at jo
"i couldn't sleep, tea anyone?" "yeah go for it" replied debbie, so they all drank tea and wondered about the spacecraft,
and how viki and louise had done at the races, and how it would go when emma and suz, left ij the morning for hopmoe,
"well anyway for the moment, we should sort out the fields for next season" said joe , "yes and go to the pub" added debbie,
"for darts!!!!"


NEXT CHAPTER SUZ AND EMMA LEAVE FOR HOPMOE, AND ARTHUR HAS A NASTY ACCIDENT!!!!
