it was a lovely morning in tollyhot, Reena was cooking up a marvelous curry, James, Tom and Luke were preparing the land for planting, Alion was working on her cross breeding, and Emily was working away decorating, while Louise was chatting up a tree, "you have lovely branches you know""oh please" said Wilko looking very smug indeed, "i'm better looking than that tree"
"yeah but your a sheep" replied Louise,
"ar toushe" said Wilko,
back in the lab Robyn was helping Alion with her genetics, "well if we take samples of as many plants as possible"
said Alion "then we can try to intersplice them!"
"ok i will get a party of plant pickers together, that Julia p never does any work i will get her to kelp, and Sarah"
"good that will help a lot" said Alion looking more hopefull,
back on the land Tom and Luke were discussing things, "how on earth are you gonna get a stomach" said Luke,
"well i reckon, we could grow one from scratch, like in face off" "well its an idea" replied Luke,
"hey look at this" said James "a guitar!! i wonder if it still works"
"well don't play it near me you lunatic" said Tom, "i've had enough with Jess all the time, playing that damn piano".
meanwhile Robyn Sarah and Julia p were picking plant specimins, "look i found one" shouted Julia p, "thats a stick Julia" replied Sarah, "oh, well i will keep looking"
back at the house, Joe was busy sorting out the finance with Debz, "well we managed to run a house back home so i'm sure we can do it now" said Joe confidently
"i was thinking" replied Debz, "i know i braught my penguin, but what about the kids"
"ar,mm oh i'm sure they will be ok" "but correct me if i'm wrong we're never going back are we?"
"mm yes but mm, oh look at that out there, zoooom!!!!!!!!,
"Joe Joe where'd he go" said Debz looking very confused.
"few got away with that, she doesn't know i sold them into slavery to start this freeholding buisness".
weeks passed, Tom still doesn't have a stomach, they still don't have any working nozzle plants, Jo still has glandguler fever after 7 years! and Louise is yet to pull the sheep!,
in the vast living room everyone was gathered, "i wonder why joe called us all here" said Julia, "ooh here he comes" said Suz,
"people we have a problem, we have rats!! yes rats but fear not, because i have found there nest, it is intwined in the depths of Arthurs beard"
"i thaught there was somthing wrong with it" said Julia looking worried,
"now Arthur, obviously you don't want to get rid of your beard, that would be mad, so i suggest we tie you to a spinning wheel, and throu egg nog at you for exactly 10 minutes, once a week just to be sure"
"sounds good to me" said Arthur "i like egg nog"
"what do we do with the rats tho?" asked Anna, "well i think we should hand them over to Viki for the time being she can look after them as she wishes" "i'm down with that" said Viki happily,
on a warm evening towards the end of summer Alion came running up the path to the house looking very pleased with herself, "i've done it i've done it" she screamed, "i've managed to grow a nozzle plant"
everyone was very excited "how did you do it" asked Jess,
"well i mixed the seeds we collected, with some of Arthurs beard hair, plus some hybrid DNA and hey presto, but now we have to work out if we can grow everything else of this one plant"
"well i think you have done very well" said Joe looking very pleased, "i'm sure we can grow what we need, if we all help out,
so the next day, everyone pitched in to help plant some of the ofshoots, " i think this is going to work rather well" said Ellie, "i could make some nozzle plant wine"
"are you sure that is a good idea!" said wendy looking rather worried, "you know you and your wines!"
"well i will try anyway" said Ellie firmly,
"well everyone, i think we have done enough work for today", said Joe, "well done everyone, we will have nozzles in a few weeks!!"
next week lots of nozzles for all!!!
